Welcome to the CSM President’s Blog! The primary purpose of the President’s Blog is to enhance communication among the members of the CSM “family”. I am deliberate about my use of the word family because I truly consider us a family. We are united by a common purpose and we share in the same joys and challenges.

A number of new communication tools have emerged over the last several years including blogs, “tweets” and social networking tools such as Facebook and MySpace. While these tools help us stay in touch and connected, nothing will ever take the place of face to face communication. I feel that it is important to “walk the campus” on a regular basis.  I continue that pledge to you regardless of the latest new communication tools.

I am not an expert on blogging. I have been told it is best to update a blog on a regular basis and to keep the posts short, informal and somewhat personal. I will do my best to follow this advice. I will continue to update the college on major issues in a more formal manner using all-college emails.
